Boozy Apple Cider
The Apple boozy apple cider at Beads in the Trap seemed to be popular so I wanted to share this simple recipe.
1 gallon apple cider
3 cups of spiced rum or your favorite aged dark liquor
1 cup of orange liqueur (Grand Marnier, Patron Citronge, Cointreau)
5 cinnamon sticks
½ cup fresh lemon juice
Add your apple cider and cinnamon to a stock pot and heat on low/medium for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally
Let the cider cool for about 15 minutes then pour in your lemon juice, rum, and orange liqueur and stir
Enjoy your boozy cider hot, warm or cold.
FUN FACT: It takes about 36 pieces of fruit to make one gallon of the apple cider.
